June Among the Strongest Months for New Business Formation
Following a relatively subdued May, the latest figures indicate a clear rebound in entrepreneurial activity. With more than 5,000 new registrations, June 2026 ranks among the strongest months for company formation in recent years, underlining the continued strength of Switzerland's entrepreneurial environment.

Company Deregistrations Also Increase Significantly
In addition to new registrations, a total of 4,100 companies were removed from the Swiss Commercial Register in June 2026. This represents an increase of approximately 47% compared with May and around 32% compared with June 2025.
Nearly 21,000 Commercial Register Changes
Overall activity in the Swiss Commercial Register also remained at a high level. During June, a total of 20,998 register changes were recorded, representing an increase of approximately 19% compared with the same month last year.
These changes include amendments to corporate purposes, registered office relocations, capital changes, as well as appointments and resignations of board members and executives.
Liechtenstein Also Reports Higher Business Formation
The Principality of Liechtenstein also recorded stronger business formation in June. A total of 73 new companies were entered into the Commercial Register, representing an increase of approximately 22% compared with the previous month.
In addition, 110 companies were deregistered and 821 register changes were recorded.
