Yoshiyasu Okihira Joins Credit Suisse as Food, Beverage and Tobacco Analyst

July 01, 2008, Tokyo. Credit Suisse has announced that Yoshiyasu Okihira has joined its Japanese Equity Research Department as an analyst covering Japan's food, beverage and tobacco sector.


Mr. Okihira joins Credit Suisse from Nomura Securities where he was an analyst covering the food, beverage and tobacco sector since 1997. He began his career at Nomura in 1993, after graduating from Waseda University with a degree in Economics, and worked in its underwriting section before becoming an analyst. In this year's Nikkei analyst survey, Mr. Okihira was ranked 4th in the food sector. He was also recognized in this year's Institutional Investor analyst survey as a Runner-Up in the beverages, food and tobacco sector.

Today's appointment reflects Credit Suisse's commitment to further strengthen its equity business in Japan.
