Reading time: 2 minutesSwisscom reviews the profitability of its Shop locations on an ongoing basis with a view to optimising the sales network. Since no agreement could be reached in the contract negotiations with Globus, Swisscom decided not to renew the contract at the end of 2009.
From 2010 Swisscom will no longer be represented in the Globus stores and will close its twelve outlets in the Globus stores in Berne, Berne Westside, Basel, Chur, Geneva, Lausanne, Locarno, Lucerne, Neuchâtel, St. Gallen, Zurich and Zurich Glattzentrum.
Customers benefit from an extensive branch network
Swisscom has continued to expand and optimise it sales network over the last few years and has always attached great importance to customer proximity and providing best-quality service. This will remain the case also in the future. With 157 Shops, Swisscom has a seamless network of sales outlets throughout Switzerland and can advise customers living in the immediate vicinity.
The staff affected by the closures will continue to be employed in the existing Swisscom Shops. There will be no layoffs. Customers at the respective locations will be informed in due course.
