Schindler: EbiSquare - negotiations with new investors

March 05, 2009, La Société Générale Immobilière (Suisse) L.S.G.I. S.A., Fribourg, has announced that it is to withdraw from the contract to purchase EbiSquare AG, signed on July 17, 2008. Schindler Holding Ltd. can claim compensation contractually agreed in this case. We regret that L.S.G.I. will not realize its planned investment.
Now negotiations will be started with other investors, who recently showed interest in realizing EbiSquare. The continued interest in renting retail space in the Shopping and Leisure Center demonstrates the attractiveness of the concept as well as of the well- developed site for EbiSquare. EbiSquare, with its legally valid development plans, offers investors a unique opportunity in the Swiss real estate market.
