Romande Energie has begun construction of the Les Muids wind farm, located in the Haute-Marne department in France. The wind farm comprises three wind turbines with an installed capacity of 10 MW and is scheduled to be commissioned in summer 2027. It will generate c. 19 GWh of renewable electricity annually, equivalent to the electricity consumption of more than 4,500 households.
Beyond its contribution to low-carbon electricity generation, this project illustrates Romande Energie’s growing expertise in delivering renewable energy facilities. Following several acquisitions of operational assets, Les Muids will be the third wind farm built by the Group, further strengthening its know-how in the development, construction and operation of power generation assets.
With this new project, Romande Energie will own seven wind farms in France and Switzerland. The project forms part of the ongoing expansion of its renewable energy portfolio, supporting the electrification of end uses and the energy transition. This trajectory is fully aligned with the Group’s Vision 2040, which sets out an ambition to manage a generation portfolio of 5 TWh.
Active in France since 2013, Romande Energie France has a diversified portfolio spanning wind, hydropower and solar energy. This portfolio represents a total gross capacity of 240 MW, spread across 14 operational assets, the Les Muids project and four additional wind projects planned for the coming years. The Group is also pursuing a disciplined acquisition strategy aimed at sustainably strengthening its low-carbon electricity generation portfolio.
