May 06, 2010, Price level rose by 0.9% in April
The national consumer price index calculated by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO) registered an increase of 0.9% in April 2010 and reached 104.7 points (December 2005=100). This rise is seasonally dependent and reflects the return to regular prices in the clothing sector after the end of the clearance sales. Year-on-year the inflation rate was 1.4%, compared with annualised rates of 1.4% in March 2010 and -0.3% in April 2009.
