More new companies founded in February 2025 - 4,816 new companies in the Swiss commercial register

New Registrations
In February 2025, a total of 4,816 new companies were registered in the Swiss commercial register— a remarkable increase of 13% compared to January 2025. However, compared to the previous year, this represents a marginal decrease of 0.2%.



Deletions
The number of company deletions remained moderate in February 2025. A total of 2,768 companies were removed from the commercial register, marking an increase of 3% compared to the previous month. However, compared to the previous year, this corresponds to a slight decline of 3%.

Mutations
The number of company mutations continued to decline: in February 2025, 18,827 mutations were recorded, reflecting a moderate increase of 8% compared to the previous month. At the same time, 2,090 companies opted for liquidation, an increase of 13% compared to January 2025.

Principality of Liechtenstein
In February 2025, the commercial register of the Principality of Liechtenstein recorded 63 new business formations, representing an increase of 5% compared to the previous month. However, the number of deletions dropped significantly to 92, a decrease of 12% compared to the previous month. Additionally, 1,167 company mutations were recorded in February 2025, which corresponds to a decrease of 31% compared to the previous month.
