Reading time: 1 minuteJune also closed out a record first quarter for Mazda in the current fiscal year. During the period April through June 2008, retail sales volume stood at 93,700 units, which is up 19 percent and nearly 28,000 units more than the same period last year.
Every market contributed to June's record performance, with 16 countries reporting sales increases (see table below for details). Russia led the way again, setting an all-time single-month record for volume - its 19th consecutive month of double-digit growth or better. Greece and Portugal set all-time June records for volume, while Mazda's Czech Republic & Slovakia organisation, and Hungary, achieved their second-highest June volumes. The UK and Spain had good months as well, recording their highest June market shares ever, at an estimated 1.9 percent and 1.0 percent respectively.
