Martin Schweikert appointed Head of Communications and Marketing

March 08, 2013, BKW Inc. has appointed 46 year old Martin Schweikert as new Head of the Corporate Communications and Marketing business unit. He will take over the post in the summer of 2013 from Martin Pfisterer, who announced his retirement at the end of October 2012. Pfisterer will remain available to BKW for specific mandates.
Martin Schweikert, Master of Law (University of Zurich), has a long track record in communications. As Head of Marketing & Corporate Communications at Swisscom IT Services Ltd since 2008, he has been responsible for the Swisscom subsidiary's marketing and corporate communications activities. For two years before this, he was Head of Public Relations at the same company. Before moving to Swisscom he worked as a communications and business consultant. Schweikert studied legal sciences, European law and international law at the Universities of Vienna and Zurich, and graduated from the University of Zurich with the title Master of Law.
Martin Pfisterer, who has been responsible for building up new renewable energies activities at BKW over the past 25 years, will continue to perform various mandates in this area for BKW. In future he will also represent BKW in designated regions and contribute his know- how and experience to specific Group projects.
