With the appointment of Pascal Sprenger as CEO of KPMG Switzerland effective October 1, 2026, the executive leadership roles for the Financial Services and Advisory business units will also be filled: Nicolas Moser will become the new Head of Financial Services, while Timo Knak will lead Advisory.
Nicolas Moser to become new Head of Financial Services
Nicolas Moser, a long-standing partner and proven industry expert, will take over as Head of Financial Services. He succeeds Pascal Sprenger, who will assume the role of CEO of KPMG Switzerland effective October 1, 2026. Moser has more than 20 years of experience in the financial sector and has contributed significantly to the development of the practice as Head of Financial Services of Western Switzerland and as Swiss sector leader for banking. His in-depth industry expertise, close client relationships, and extensive leadership experience make him the ideal candidate to lead the Switzerland-wide financial services business.
Timo Knak takes over as Head of Advisory
Timo Knak succeeds Tobias Valk as the new Head of Advisory. Knak has more than 25 years of experience in advisory, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions. In his previous roles as Head of Deal Advisory and Head of M&A, he has managed numerous domestic and international transactions and advised companies on complex strategic decisions. In addition to his new role, he will continue to lead the Deal Advisory practice. As Global Lead Partner, Tobias Valk will continue to contribute to KPMG’s success by leveraging his extensive market expertise and close client relationships.
