December 14, 2012, At a conference organized by the European Association for Health Promotion (AEPS), Luxembourg’s health minister Mars di Bartolomeo awarded Implenia a “Grand Prix Européen Santé et Entreprise 2012” in recognition of its work on health and safety. The jury were particularly impressed by the “Talk about alcohol at work?” project, which won the award in the “Responsabilité Sociétale de l’Entreprise” (Business Social Responsibility) category.

Implenia works hard on several different fronts to protect its employees’ health and to prevent accidents at work. Such accidents can be caused by many things, one of which is alcohol. The aim of “Talk about alcohol at work?” is to remove the taboos surrounding the subject and to educate employees where necessary. Implenia carried out the project in close collaboration with health consultancy PMSE SA (Prévention et maintien de la santé en enterprise) in French- speaking Switzerland as a pilot region. The plan is to roll the project out to the rest of Switzerland in 2013. For further information about health and safety at work, please see Implenia’s first Sustainability Report, which was published in September 2012.
