Credit Suisse Appoints Ronan Agnew as Asia Pacific Head of Financial Sponsors Coverage

May 23, 2008, Credit Suisse announced today the appointment of Ronan Agnew as Head of Financial Sponsors Coverage in Asia Pacific. Mr Agnew will relocate from Credit Suisse's London office to Hong Kong.


Mr Agnew was previously Co-Head of the European Financial Sponsors Group, based in London since 2005. He has spent the majority of his career assisting private equity firms, both in the U.S. and Europe, with their investment activities. He has played a leading role on a number of landmark transactions and has extensive cross-border experience, having recently closed deals in countries including the U.S., Spain, Germany, Sweden, France, Holland, Denmark, Ireland and the United Kingdom.

Mr Agnew will report to Paul Raphael, Head of Investment Banking in Asia Pacific (ex- Japan), andHarold Bogle, Global Head of Financial Sponsors Coverage at Credit Suisse.

Mr Raphael said: "Ronan's extensive transaction experience and international outlook will be most valuable to our clients in the region, who are increasingly active in some of the industry's defining transactions."

Mr Bogle said: "The evolution of the private equity market in Asia is in many ways similar to that of Europe. I am pleased that a senior banker like Ronan is leading the business to support private equity clients in the region."

Mr Agnew joined Credit Suisse in November 2000 after the Bank's merger with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, where he had been a senior member of the European leveraged finance/financial sponsors coverage group.
