October 08, 2008, Gottex Fund Management Holdings Limited (“Gottex”), together with its subsidiaries, a leading independent global alternative asset management group, wishes to correct a number of inaccuracies and misinformation currently circulating in various media reports in connection with allegations of misconduct at Petters Group.


Funds managed by Gottex never invested directly in Petters or any of its transactions, but invested in independent hedge funds which have provided fi nancing to Petters related transactions.

Gottex has not been named in any FBI documents or in the Petters allegations. Neither Gottex nor any of the funds managed by Gottex are under investigation by the FBI or any law enforcement agency.

Gottex has never had any direct dealings with Petters.

Gottex’s exposure to Petters is not material in the context of Gottex’s total USD 15.6 billion1) of Assets under Management (“AuM”) as it represents less than 4% of total AuM, nor in the context of its market neutral funds, its main business segment, where it represent less than 2.5% of gross assets.

None of the members of the Gottex Executive Management Committee or the Board of Directors have been selling shares in Gottex.
