Changes to UBS Corporate Communications

As of 1 June 2010 Peter Hartmeier will take over as head of Corporate Communications UBS Switzerland. This encompasses overall responsibility for public relations as well as internal communications of UBS Switzerland. At the same time Christoph Meier, formerly head of Corporate Communications Switzerland, will assume leadership of Corporate Communications UBS Wealth Management. This includes both internal and external communication for the international wealth management business and international media efforts out of Switzerland.

Peter Hartmeier is moving from the NZZ Gruppe to UBS on 1 June 2010. Since 2009 he has had the publishing responsibilities for the Thurgauer Zeitung as chairman of the board of Huber & Co. Previously he headed corporate communications for the second-largest Swiss publishing company, Tamedia, for two years, and for seven years was editor-in- chief of the Tagesanzeiger, with responsibility for an editorial department of 200 journalists. In his journalistic and publishing career, he has led the Swiss Press Association for five years and was co-editor-in-chief of the financial magazine Bilanz. He will strengthen UBS’s public relations in its vital home market with his leadership experience, communication skills and intimate knowledge of the Swiss media and political landscape.
