COMET appoints Michael Kammerer as its new Vacuum Capacitors Business Unit Manager

August 15, 2008, Flamatt. At its meeting yesterday, the Board of Directors of the COMET Group, worldwide leaders in the manufacture of systems and components for the growth markets of non-destructive materials testing, security and semiconductors, appointed Mr. Michael Kammerer to become the new Vacuum Capacitors Business Unit Manager and a member of the Executive Management of the COMET Group with effect from 1 September 2008.
Michael Kammerer (born 1961), Swiss citizen, has been employed in the COMET Group as Vacuum Capacitors Head of Supply Chain Management and Production since January 2008.
Michael Kammerer has an excellent track record and possesses specialist experience in OEM business. He was previously employed by well-known companies in the metal and automobile industries, most recently for Saia-Burgess AG/Johnson-Electric as Head of Purchasing and Supplier Quality Assurance. Michael Kammerer holds an MBA in Strategy and Procurement Management (University of Birmingham / UK).
